The heart of you

0 posted 2001-09-18 08:22 PM

Perhaps dear book, it's meant for me, to be here all alone.
Perhaps dear book, for me you see, love has finally flown.
Perhaps dear book, my poor heart bleeds, because it cannot weep.
Perhaps dear book, what's left are weeds, in this grave of love so deep.

Perhaps dear book, she loved me once, in time so long ago.
Perhaps dear book, I played the dunce, who didn't let love grow.
Perhaps dear book, I could have had, a love to last a life.
Perhaps dear book, instead of sad, I'd have none of this strife.

Perhaps dear book, what's left for me, is my pen and your words.
Perhaps dear book, they'll never be, the sweetest ever heard.
Perhaps dear book, the time has come, to quiet my heart's cry.
Perhaps dear book, my rhyme is done, now my time to die.

What light through yon window breaks?  It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.

Awe, sad.  The repetition was superb, I always love a good apostrophe.  Great job!

Thank you all my friends for reading.  Pip, are you sure that you meant "apostrophe"?

Welcome to Passions, Moonlight Romeo. This was a wondeful read.   I wish I could do rhyme like this.

Sometimes the heart needs the solace of solitude and silence.

Romeo, sure I'm sure I meant apostrophe.  You are talking to a book right?  Last I checked, books can't talk back.
