By the sea
Silence falls as misting rain,
unheard, the night begins its spell
and I the shadow keeper,
it is within the dark I dwell.
You may keep the garish sun,
the tans and all that go with it,
the cancer causing side effects.
It is beneath the stars I sit.
My view is of eternity,
while yours is hidden in the clouds.
I sit alone and rest in peace.
Your peace is that of daily crowds.
Sing loud the voices of the night
and raise a chorus to be heard.
I wear a cloak of sprinkled stars,
as I pen this solemn word.
There is more depth to the heart than the mind can comprehend and it only has boundaries when we choose to fence it in.
