No One Calls Me Close

No one calls me close to them.
No one cares to speak with me.
I am as but a broken limb
and they are as the tree.

Happy lives,
go on, in merriment rejoice.
Lend laughter to your voice.
My own withers,
now a receding echo.

I walk away,
keep honest words at bay,
hold truths within.
There’s no more left to say.

Drumming fingers,
a frown,
a sigh,

silence...

I like this poem, mostly because it's how I feel alot of the time. But it maybe because I'm paronoid, don't trust people, and don't join in.

Michael,

What a wonderful but sad poem.  I have been at this place more times than I dare admit. And SEA isn't the only one that cares

Michael--such honest and hurt feelings you display.  Hugs of friendship to you.
