this is a song lyric I wrote several years ago, and I added 2 verses on 9-12.  You will figure out which ones...

Outside

Its hard to face the deamons
when they're all outside your head
In a world that doesn't care
if you're alive or dead
you struggle every day for some reason to live
in such a god forsaken place
its so hard to forgive

the spinning wheel of evil
is out of control
media's feeding frenzy
on misery's lost souls
children disappear from their homes
without a trace
milk cartons carry messages that say
have you seen this face?

(chorus)

Its everywhere beside you
theres nowhere left to hide
its even in the air we breathe
so we can't go outside
for fear the plague will choose us
to be its next of pray
please please tell me i can
go outside today

Streetlights are still shining
on tonight's most recent star
who just got shot down gangland style
by a rivals passing car
the victims are the innocent
some still have not lost trust
know its unsafe to walk the street
but live there cause they must

what caused us to have blind faith
in the world on which we dwell
and turn our backs indifferently
to our children's future hell
this worlds a freakshow circus
drawing lifeblood from our pain
we've got to go outside or lose
our young minds to its drain

Terrorists took our airplanes
and flew them in the towers
they killed our family and friends
to revenge a rich coward
does wealth and power have to rule
the souls of all the land
and make war the only choice
left to make the final stand

So tell us to be quiet
and to sit back and relax
because we really do require
getting all the facts
as we strongly consider
what we're about to do
payback really is a (edit)
when its all done and through

Its everywhere beside you
theres nowhere left to hide
its even in the air we breathe
so we can't go outside
for fear the plague will choose us
to be its next of prey
please please tell me
i can
go outside
please please tell me
i can
go outside
please please tell me
i can
go outside today

I really enjoyed the lyrics you've created.  The additions of the two stanzas really added to the mood I think.  Kudos!  I'd love to hear the music with it.

Kenna,
I can hear your beautiful voice singing this one, and it touches me! It seems of late that there is no outside to run to anymore, but we long to escape into the breezes of peace.  My friend, this is superb!

The road goes on forever, and the stories never end...
