~* Wave A Flag For The Children *~

How beautiful is any tiny child?
How sweet the song of a young boy or girl?
Every time I look at one I have to wonder,
Will they grow up to live in a safe world?

How unencumbered are their tiny hearts,
How lovingly simple are their open minds.
Nowhere in a young person's soul,
Rests the destruction of mankind.

They’re happy when they play together,
Caring not of the color or creed of a friend.
Simple joys create such simple pleasures,
So unaware that strife in the world never ends.

How sad to see man’s weakened will,
The constant hopelessness of senseless rage.
The cancerous hate those burns night and day,
Never mellowing out with age.

Listen! How peaceful the babbling brook?
How powerful the crashing waves of the sea?
Just enjoying the wonder in a snowflake,
In a beautiful world where we all deserve to be free.

These children of the world are our future,
Teach them to accept all religions, and colors of skin.
Keep their hearts tender and young always,
Don’t harden them in anger, or put prejudice within.

Three Cheers For The Red, White and Blue!

A beautiful presentation, Mysteria!

Unfortunately, those that attack us were children indoctrinated to do just that as adults. That is the atmosphere that must be changed...

Mysteria~
In order to protect the innocence of the child -
we must do all we can to prevent a repeat of the 'senseless rage'

God bless the children~
God bless us all~
Thank you for sharing with us, friend~

Sharon, written from the heart of your inner child. The imagery warms my soul and at the same time, brings a tear to my eyes... because of the unforseeable future. Like your poem so very well portrays, what about our children's innocense?   what about their future?  Very deep, touching work of art.

Thank you Dear Canadian Friend.  Thanks for waving our flag.  In my family we are protecting our children from knowledge of this event.  No reason for them to have to think about it at this tender age.  But we can't protect them from the changes that will come beause of it.  We will have to deal with that at the proper time  (By the way we had a lovely time in Vancouver on Friday.)Joyce

Irish Rose - Thank YOU

Joyce - Thank you for keeping this away from your children, please read what I have to say in the "Feelings" section about something that happened today.  I cannot understand parents telling their children as they instill the very hatred and create citizens like the very ones we are now hunting down.
