Bones and Stones

Shadows of insanity hovers o’er appall
And sorrow and vanity covers up the gore.
Sadness and outrage sing the choirs call as
Death and the dust of awe settle on the floor.

How many times must a lesson to be taught?
And how often must that lesson be interned?
How many lives for the teaching to be bought?
Is it hopeless the lesson to be learned?

We bring the dark of night quicker than we should
To cover up forever the cipher of our sins
And once again change will change this place where we have stood
And time will bury all, even thoughts of what has been.

The war is a war that comes with each new birth
And heaven lies within the marrow of our bones
It is within the species and not within the earth.
We either learn this lesson or settle into stones.

I hang my head in prophecy that any fool can make
We either learn to live on earth or sleep and never wake.

You are always profound.  I know this lesson well.
Forever shall be taught, this, in which you dwell
wisdom, sure and replete! Always to be given
and I shall share with you, this Land that we might live in.

Well taught lesson Sey.......with such a wonderous wisdom.  Thank you.

Thanks. The whole world must learn the lesson this time....the alternative is unacceptable. If enough people believe we can change the momentum, it will change in the direction of World Peace and Unity. We must win this war, and prevail...there is no other option that is viable for the future existence of humanity.

There is never a time we dont learn from you and your poetry....
from your wisdom and lessons learned wrapped in rhyme....
and the reason why I hang on your every word...
thats why you should never stop sharing.
This poem is more impressive than I have words for..every line teaches...every line is awe inspiring..
as is what can be read between the lines...
me

Well I looked to the sky for my anthem
The words and the music came through
But words and music can never touch
The beauty that I've seen in you

Will we ever learn, Sy? For our children's sake, I hope so...
