The outpour of vessels
Once filled with water
Now spill out in essence
Scraped up from within
Dredging the bottoms of hearts

If this be so
Let it
And don't try to analyze it
For matter
Don't try to figure out
The miracle of water to wine
Don't try to find the source
And claim it tritely yours
While you name it as a thief
That stole through a mountain
And taint it with pollution
Of all our uphill battles

Whether from a simple clay pitcher
Or a golden Grail
Let it pour out the same
And if you have run empty
Or if you are not so blessed
As to become filled with potent emotion
Then run dry and become inanimate
And bury yourself a treasure
For someone else to find

For the abundance of such outpour
Is needed
To drown the clowns
Of indifference
To wash us whole again
To wake the sleeping eyes

For even if technicalities
Will soon calibrate the flow
And dam up the river of sorrow
We will still swim in remembrance
Of the lost floating somewhere
Through our veins
Forever
Now changed

Few remain unchanged and I pity any who are indifferent.
