Feelings On Hold

when I hear the music play
or hear a lone voice pray
when I hear voices lift in song
or get the feeling I belong

my feelings go on hold

when children come to smile
and ask “will it take awhile?”
I must not let them see my fear
nor may I show my fears

my feelings go on hold

when I look up to the sky
contrails gone from on high
knowing right must prevail
red, white, blue forever hail

my feelings go on hold

this is not the time of “me”
but surely it is the time of WE
for one to one beside each stand
as WE protect our treasured land

my feelings go on hold

I take comfort in all of US
doing what we can – no fuss
going forth with what is right
as WE take US into the night

my feelings now grow bold.

It's been a spirit stunting week. Enough to depress the most optimistic of us and debilitate the depressed. But thanks for reminding that we are all suffering together.

Dear Lady, a great write, but don't let your feelings go on hold for too long, I do hope with your writting you vent off much which hurts, by holding in your feelings you have express your ongoing pain.
The wrongs will be righted I am sure.
