Masquerade?

Another decade has conceived
A mind that’s mad, a land deceived
Another soul has left behind
A mark in hearts of all mankind

Is this some kind of masquerade?
Another Stalin on parade?
Kmer Rouge, this terror wields
across American killing fields?

Is it the ghost of Hitler’s mind?
To mass destruct without a sign
The least remorse, compassion, shame?
The set two towers up in flame

Is it the Argentinian feared?
The ruler of “the disappeared”
Who from his grave gives out a laugh
At towers blown on his behalf

This is a virus that’s to blame
And terrorism is its name
In twisted minds that would deduct
An honored deed to self destruct

They will be glorified, they shout
Of this I have a certain doubt
Their consequence is known to all
The ones who made the towers fall

When all the smoke has disappeared
When all the rubbish has been cleared
The scene will still torment us all
The day we watched the towers fall

The sun will bring another day
And life will go about its way
But never will the heart forget
Horrific acts of such regret

And if we witness, me and you
A turban wrapped in color blue
It is not fear we’ll fear the most
But terrorisms ugly ghost

That came to earth straight out of hell
The day the double towers fell
