Where Did They Go ?

~*Marge Tindal*~

Where did they go, those happy words
that fell so freely from my pen ?
Where did they go, those caring thoughts
written for a friend ?

I have searched all through the night
for the words I used to know
Oh, my god ... I just can't find them
Where did they go ?

Dissipated in the contrails of terror
wrought upon the land
Taken from my heart
in diabolical reign of evil hand

Spuriously they were driven from me
by those who had no right
to take the words from my pen
that might be needed tonight

Dastardly cast
wretchedly wrought
Horror to borrow
all my thought
Slaking taking
muted mock

I have looked through sleepless night
for my words of rhyme
On death of bed - with words unsaid
for friends taken in their prime

Hideous monster of cowardly disguise
You cannot have these words of mine
I take them back - and say to you
NO MORE - NO MORE
Your reign of terror is through !

Oh Marge....great minds think alike. I am so pleased that I was able to reply to your read as the first. What a beautiful portrayal you have penned here.
They didn't get away with taking the words from your pen, because you fought and won in the end!!!!!! Very, very well done, I commend you and feel with you.
Hugs and prayers
Debbie

I've found myself at a loss for adequate words as well, dear Marge.  They're coming back though.

As always, you and your wonderful words are an inspiration indeed.

In stunned silence, we pray.

Then we lift our words to say...

God Bless the U.S.A.

yes, but they also make the hateful, bitter words leave us too and realize that we are kept by a higher power and nothing is as important as that. They also remove those words too......

The words of love and understanding that have shown up on these pages, from all over the world, have found their way into the hearts of each of us.

This is 'family' ...

Thank you, Ron Carnell ... for giving us a place to come together in love and understanding, caring and sharing~
God bless you~

This has given me an idea.  I hope it brings even the smallest smile from you in the morning.  You have so often helped me to smile.

Marge-
After reading this again, I know why I let
it slip by without a reply.
It must have been so I would have to read
and reply tonight, and receive the strength
from your words that I so desperately needed.

   Thank you, my friend.
   Love you,
