Tomorrow smile at someone
That you've never seen before.
Take time to think of others that
You feel compassion for.

Tomorrow tell somebody
That they brighten up your day.
Let random acts of kindness
Put your feelings on display.

Tomorrow hug your children
Somewhat tighter than before.
Be sure to think of all the things
You can be thankful for.

Pat your dog a little longer.
Hug and kiss your husband/wife.
Thank your God for granting you
Another day of life.

Yes it is those kind of things we all take for granted until we suddenly realize, they could all be gone within the next breath. Good writing as always.

As I've been saying throughout this tragedy, the world has had a wake up call.  It's time to appreciate and value the good we STILL have in our lives...

Michael---At 11AM on Tuesday I gave a friend a ride to work and on the way home I said Hello to every driver or pedestrian I saw.  And I did pet the dog a bit more than usual.  I even told him it was ok, I was just crying because some really bad stuff had happened but that he was safe and we would be ok.  Your poem has reached into my own little world and spoken.  Thank you.

'deer, you haven't lost a thing! Excellent poem! It seems our thoughts run to a common theme in view of the recent tragedy.

There will be tomorrows for us all, for we know how to band together, and we most certainly know what is right, and how to proceed.
