GOD'S GIFT

I'm seeing my family in a new light today,
What a beautiful gift GOd has sent my way.
My "family" asked nothing from me
In the start,
Only that we celebrate
In the meeting of our heart.
God has given me the gift of love
Sent straight to me
From heaven above.
I received the warmest welcome
From hearts so true,
A love that is shared
Between me and you.
I can't begin to tell you
About the love I feel inside
YOu've touched my life in ways
That I can't begin to describe.
This bond that we share
Is amazing and sweet,
The family of my heart
Makes my life complete.
I'm eternally grateful
That you've become a part of my life
Particularly now,
Amidst all of this strife.
You've left an impression on my heart
FOREVER it's true,
LIFE IS WAY TO SHORT
For me not to say how much I love you.

Written for the family of my heart. I don't have a "family" as you would know them( parents, siblings etc.) But I do have some people in my life that are very special to me and I consider them family because my heart has chosen them. THis was written for them.

this is wonderfully written, and right now, I think we all need to hold our families of the heart and our real families close to us.

Thank you all for your replies. I was trying to think about all the Good things in life during all the chaos yesterday. Looking at my friend and daughter I realized how very special and precious both of them are to me. And how precious and short life is.
