The heart of you

0 posted 2001-09-10 02:00 PM

Outside the walls of your heart, I stand with candle burning bright
Hoping to shine, within your darkness, a beam of love's pure light
My light burned there once before, within your castle's walls
But now, I stand out here alone and you hear not my call

How I long for those days again, when our love was bright and new
Nothing else mattered in the world, there was only me and you
But then your hand let go of my own, and to your castle you fled
Now, I stand out here alone while within, your heart is dead

Please open your heart again to me, my dearest darling true,
No one else can comfort me, no one else my love, but you
Peer over your castle's walls to see me in this rain
And know that the warmth of my love can heal your deepest pain

Come inside the castle walls and warm up by the fire. Welcome to Passions. Very nice. Chris

A beautiful first post.  Your gift of words will be a much appreciated addition to passions.  Welcome!!

Well I looked to the sky for my anthem
The words and the music came through
But words and music can never touch
The beauty that I've seen in you

Welcome to Passions!  One minute while I lower the drawbridge for you to come inside. We'll sit by the fire for awhile and chat.  I await more of your splendid writing.  Nancy.
