Lifeless life

Lost

Writhing lonliness
Struggling with a disturbed existence

Restlessness haunts

Behind your parade

To leave this

Without dread

Oh......yes......it seems the autumn spirit
is at the door...

I am left with such a deep bitter feeling as if I have seen the desert of my own mind and the wind whistling on that plain.

Powerful as usual and quietly and bitterly sad or so I felt.

Thank you Mark

My Melody, Autumn's spirit has definitely already floated through the door.  Bitter?  Hmmm...  not really, but indeed sad to allow events to turn to such when there are always so many more options in the bigger picture, outside of the microscopic walls which seem to barracade one's self...

Autumn, to me, is a most peaceful time...a time of settling down, not unlike the moments of peace before one slips into a deep and restful sleep.  Wonderful write, MVS!

The road goes on forever, and the stories never end...

Sunnyone, thank you for your reply.  An interesting take on Autumn...  for me, it is a time of waking up to adventure, crisp air, school, and ironically, simply a feeling of life, but I guess the wonderful thing is that we're all individuals with many different takes on things from which to keep learning and considering...

Ron, thank you, my friend, for your time in reading my works -- I know what you mean regarding having enough time to reply, but I am very happy to hear that you still make the time to read them and enjoy them.  I consider it an honor, coming from one of my favorite poets.  Thank you, Sir.

Mark, this feels heavy with the news of yesterday. Autumn is generally my most loved time of year, yes, it does feel like new beginnings, usually. This sad thing happening in the country, I just don't know how to cope with all of it.
Write on, my friend.
Sandra
