Soon You’ll Understand

You ask me who can you run to……
That person is I….
I will basically fall from grace to give you what you need.
I run myself till exhaustion seems like a bodily function..
These things I do… for a lady like you..
I try to show you ways to cope with your anger, even came and visited you in the presence of danger,
Gave my love to a stranger… brought you from depression,
Raised you to another level but it was aggression.
Days you provoked me just to spite,
It wasn’t right .. But we both cried about the situation ..Lonely at night.
I fight battles and I loose.. Mostly against myself,
I try to give you self-wealth, maintain mental health, accepting your problems because I wanted you to be worry free, but the pile you placed upon my back accumulated times 3.
I see you crying….tears..Streaming down your skin,
I try to learn what I did to make you emotional
But still you won’t let me in.
Its bugging me.. I know you are the one for me
Since 11th grade when you met me,
We used to create Kodak moments, movie scenes .. Spielberg couldn’t have directed a better movie… we met on some fairy tale ****.. You were my Cinderella when I was less than a prince… you were my sleeping beauty…. You were awakened.. But not by the kiss of my lips…
Soon you’ll understand.. Why I feel like this,
Being in your presence is bliss.

nice poem, I hope everything works out.
Maybe you are Prince Charming and she is no Cinderella or sleeping beauty..have u ever thought of that? Just an honest thought that crossed my mind!

interesting write..i feel the presence of codependence..on your part..seems you allow this person to step on your heart..over and over

..one mortal cannot continuously bear the burdens of the one they love without it being detrimental to the loved one..its fact my friend..i've tried it..i've been through codependence..its an addiction just like drugs, alcohol..never goes away..but one day, hopefully, you begin recovery..an "addict" always, but a recovering addict ..

love is good..but dont love "too much"..it only hurts the one you love, and makes them run far away...

this one made me think..cant tell can ya..tell me to shut up now...
