The Question Of Now


The reason I worry
is because I doubt
if I lose you tomorrow
I could do without.

Yet what would be lost
but this nightly pain
and this daily hurry
to see you again.

We have no promise.
We’ve made no vow.
Our kisses are answers
to the question of now.
