Longing for that which we cannot have
Striving for more than we are
Is a human trait, often a salve
  When reaching for a star.

Our spirit shines, our light extends
  We are the chosen few
Carried forward on solar winds
  To visit worlds anew.

Ever onward, course laid in
We strive to reach the stars
Knowing the destination we will win
  The destiny that is ours.

So lift your voices sons of men,
  Hear the bleating call.
Push us forward on solar wind
We go there for us all.

-- Dedicated to the men and women of the International Space Program and NASA, for reminding us we can go anywhere our minds will take us.

Wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up, work with the Air Force instead.  Enjoyed this much.  Was wondering, though, if using the term 'outward' instead of 'forward' or 'onward' would work better?  Solar wind does radiate from Sol.
