She has the hair of a flaxen sunrise
Touching the horizon of her waist
Running wild she tangles the flow
She churns the current of the stream
The words to music she doesn't know
She turns the hands back on the clock
How the old men wish for youth
How her skin glows in the dark
If she steps into the light
Mother Nature pulls the clouds apart

She laughs the belly laugh untouched
She sings the heaven sparrow's song

How the slide of Motherhood
Has made me dive into the earth
A thousand braids for us to speak
She holds me stable on my feet
Intertwining our bond so strong

She warms me in her vision streams
Even in the coldest dreams

How she is my direction
In the silk of her affection
How I love to comb her glory
While she tells me all her stories

And she is lovely enough to say
How she wishes her hair was red
Like mine someday.

This is lovely and I am presuming, a tribute to a special daughter who wishes very much to wear the adornment of mommy's red~

Very nice~

Marge: LOL! Mine I try to cover the grey with Golden Brown, but it still comes out red no matter what I do! Yes, she is my precious daughter. I want her hair and she wants mine. Isn't that the way it goes. Thanks for reading!

Rex: Absolutely! Every moment. Thank you sir Poet!

Sincerely,
Regina

Dear Regina, wonderful times these, spent with our children, dreaming of futures, telling of dreams, comparing notes and just being close.
I loved the read and the story that it tells.
.
Our childrens love, makes the road not as long and the hours of effort worth it.

tried to write a letter
to tell you how I feel,
but all I kept on writing
was slipping on the tears from the day...

I nearly missed this one Regina. I love to read the stories of your family. My favourite type of poetry with pure love showing through.
