“Cocaine”

Cocaine,
A silent but deadly killer;
Entering your body through your nose,
Causing an illusion of bliss to form in your mind,
As your body slowly starts to decompose-
It starts as a mere high; then your cravings get bigger,
Your dependency gets stronger as your body becomes thinner-
It kills you on the inside and slowly works it’s way out,
Destroying your family, your dreams, and what your life used to be about-
It took only $20 for that 20 minute high,
However, when you’re coming down; falling Uncontrollably
Your high becomes rock bottom-
Tearing away at your body; it eats you alive-
You look in the mirror to see your reflection;
But no one is looking back on the other side.
