Sleep comes like a black curtain,
  Covering me in its embrace
And I know in my heart for certain,
  I'll soon see your smiling face.
For in my dreams, I see you
  Everytime I close my eyes
And misty hues of red and blue
  Part with silent sighs.
For I do not dream in black and white
  Like all the scholars say
But of you in vivid colors
  True love should be that way.
I carry you in my memory
  Your song plays in my heart
And even miles between us
  Cannot keep us apart
For in my dreams I see you
  Everytime I close my eyes
And I fight to keep from waking
  From losing to sunrise.

and how well I recall your lovely poetry...
this is a wonderful poetic declaration...
your cadence is a delight as is the imagery and the soft spoken romantic intend
very well done poet sir..nice to see your name and smiling face here again.

This part especially touched me..I can relate to it totally. There is always someone we dream about and when we awake
we are disappointed and try to fall back
asleep to continue that dream!!
