*Revised Repost from Open #10*

she has spoken to me
since the dawn of time

I have known her in her many guises
        through our many lives

muse
        wife
                poet
                        mother
                                   daughter
                                                goddess

in each one, she reveals herself to me
and in each one, I find my heart
                    in her hands

she gives of her heart freely
she speaks to me in the softest
    and gentlest of tones
her voice comes to me like unto a
            Seraphim of the highest order

her very presence in time dispels the
            darkness
for it is fixed in the mind of every
poet who picks up the quill of life
                    to write of his heart

she speaks

"gentle poet of mine heart
let my words guide thee to the unknown shore
though we cannot know each other in this
                                    time and place
                            surely we can in eternity"

and so, I take up my quill in response
        to her voice
                her song
                    her words
        and they become my own
filtered through my heart like
drops from the river of life

I remember her

she is love
        the love I have lost
                the love I have found
the love I have yet to find

thus will she always be
        I will know her name
I will know not her name
and her presence will warm my heart and soul
like the rays of the sun
I will carry her
        and she will lift me

she remembers me

                                                the unknown muse

the light of the universe. . .

Gosh, I love the way you write from your heart.  This really is something special.
I wish that I could feel life and love and everything so deeply as you!  Heck, the Sven Pen rules    Of course, you know that this is going into my ~LARGE~ library which contains almost all of your poems

Oh my friend, this speaks more beautifully than anything recent. Your muse, or your love in time..they are somehow connected. This is so good.

Well..I'm so glad this came back! I missed it on the first go. Sven, this paints a picture of angelic wingspan with you right in the midst of it's soft down. Fact..it would be a visual work of art. As it is a written one. Honed from the heart! I'm keeping this!

Sincerely,
Regina
