:[
It's night.
The stars are out.
I look at them
from the swing I sit in.
And yes. I wish.
I wish that I could
stop wishing.
Every night,
a different star,
and every night,
the same old wish.
I wish to be with you.
I wish for your love.
Impossible wishes.
Foolish wishes.
And so I bow my head,
and simply wish it all away.
But it's night.
So many stars.
So many for me
to wish on.:[

If you can't make it so,
you need to let it go!

Seems I am in good company with you and Alan. Yes, I too do the same thing.

I agree with Marge (and besides, I really liked this!)...walk easy, my friend, keep the stars in you eyes, the wishes coming...it's when you stop that it all falls apart.

My son has all these glow in the dark stars plastered on the ceiling of his room that can barely be seen in the daylight, and we lay in there in our own little dream world and wish on the silly things...and when it's clouldy or rainy...what a substitute.  Now, do I wish on stars...old as I am??? You bet!

hand in there...

Very sad, yes, but not to give up hope.  My wish is that you are only writing.  And very well.

I want to thank each and everyone one of you, from my heart, for your responses to my poem.
I wrote from my heart, my feelings, and you all responded from your hearts with feelings and that means so very much to me.
Thank you for caring. ((((HUGS TO ALL))))
