I took a walk in the woods
to enjoy a summer day,
and though I wasn't searching
many answers came my way.

I stopped by a babbling brook
in my reflection what did I see?
I saw someone proud and strong
it's true, that person was me.

I didn't see a reflection
of one scared and all alone,
nor was it the reflection of one
whose heart had turned to stone.

I saw a woman spreading her wings
she was more than ready to try,
she had finally drawn the strength
to spread her wings and fly.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

It's great to see that inner peace and realize how you can respect yourself. That positive love for the future churning in the quality of your own reflection!

Gentle Spirit,  You have wonderfully painted a picture of a butterfly emerging from a cocoon.  If we are lucky we emerge several times in our life in different ways.

Thanks to all of you for the kind words. As many of you know, I haven't been here much lately writing as I have had some personal issues to deal with lately. I have been reading though, and find much comfort in many words read here at passions.  I thank you all dear friends for your kindness and support and hope to soon be posting on a more regular basis.  Each day the spirit seems to be healing and getting stronger just a bit.  Thanks again all, and peace to you.
