One More Time Little Muse

One more time I plead with thee
where are you now when I need you so?
my muse so bold, so happy, so true
come out and play I’ll be so good to you.

I look for you among the thistles
where just about anything grows,
but alas you're missing from sight I fear
having fun elsewhere instead of here.

“Oh” come back to me little friend
I promise to treat you with much care
never forsaking on a moments notice
free rein of the heart I swear!

I’ll spill you over blank page with much rhyme and tune
I’m not sure why you left you’ve been gone so long!
I’m beginning to wonder if you're friend or foe
what is it going to take to convince you its true?

I’ve pondered it so and if there's something
out there that you think I should know
please bring it back with you
I’m sure to give it a go!

Come little muse let’s travel my mind, heart and soul,
lets give it another chance and you will see
that hanging around here with me
is not as bad as you think it will be!

Cerenity, I know what it like muses just vanish but they always seem to come back smarter and more poetic. SO fear not, for when your muse returns it will bless you with new inspiration

I know exactly what you mean!
Look a little harder and maybe
you'll find that your little muse
was there the whole time..
He showed his face in this one
that if for sure.
Nicely done!

From reading your poem, I'd say you found her or one like her at least!

She apparently re-appeared long enough for you to write this
Cute, and I do know the feeling.
