Finally some peace resides in my spirit.
Tonight when I awoke to the rain,
I was still fresh from dreams and messages.
It feels like a cleansing to be this soft.
It seems like a blessing to be this in touch with things.
There must be something on my horizon
Because I feel growth slowly treading over my soul.
Maybe its just self discovery,
And maybe its God (after all isn't it always)
But whatever the reason there is softeness within me again.
Fresh rain refreshing my spirit,
Tonight I'm understanding.
Tonight I'm dressed in smiles and tears of some unexplained happiness.
Fresh rain brought by Heaven
And I'm awash in good spirits
And the soft slow beat of the night surpasses my ability for words.
I'm simply me, my friends.
As I recall my once firm belief in love,
I see a winking of hope in the distance that had faded behind the fog of depression,
And a chance to mend a few things.
But lest I overwhelm myself,
Perhaps I'll turn a few things over to heaven's keeper.

Don't gain my affections then cover my eyes. Don't sweep me off my feet then fail to catch me before I hit the floor.

Your sofness is shining in this poem...very nice too see, indeed.

This made me think of the times I have gone through trials and tribulations and once I worked through them I did feel refreshed and ready to begin anew.

Hold on tightly to your peace...you deserve it!
