~Flipping The Bird~

You flipped this bird right off his perch
I’m hanging on by twig of birch
I’ve always done just what you asked
I mimicked you with every task

And now you leave me hanging here
I ask you why ~ I want to hear
Could it be something that I said
What was the reason that you fled

I only spoke the words you taught
And echoed back your every thought
I was your puppet on a stage
Ventriloquist’s dummy in wired cage

So, come back, dear ~ don’t fly the coop
You’ve really thrown me for a loop
What’s that you say ~ you went for seed
I should not worry ~ there’s no need

I thank my lucky stars you’re back
While in your care, I nothing lack
You are the wind beneath my wings
You are the tune my bird brain sings

You’ve flown into my little heart
I knew I loved you from the start
So, read my beak ~ I’ll tell you true
The bird you flipped has flipped for you

~vlraynes

laughing back and forth ??????
Well ... for YOU half the night -
for ME the whole darned night~

It's already printed out ~ and will hang in the aviary room~
Now I think I've figured out why DG~ calls ya' Tricks !

Like this lots, Vic. I see it as the comical side,as it apparently is meant, and also as the sad woman afraid of being left no matter how hard she tried to please.
Very interesting.

That, by the way, is my rabbit Mab who today decided to start eating my wall.  This I do not understand but I found quite inspiring.

Oh my sweet Vicky do you hear
How could you do that to me dear
Exposing me here like a fool
Swinging on my playing tool

I just was showing off for you
And you let people watch me do
Oh dear oh dear I should have known
To maturety your mind has never grown

But I'll love you sweety for being you
Keep in the laughter is what you do
Actually I'm proud being subject to your wit
So I think I'll keep hanging here for a bit

Hey, Phoenix lady, fly to me,
My sexy, sultry chickadee!
Flap those flipping feathers south..
Paste a smiley on my mouth!

You're robin me of  sanity
With all the things you do to me.
Wing your way here and I will bet
It's something you will not egret!

I'll gladly swallow all my pride
To have you winging at my side.
A cardinal sin 'twould be, indeed
If our love were to go to seed.

Oreole me with your touch
My limbs are needing you so much.
Migrate to me and then perch-ance
We'll build our love nest of romance!

I took the road less traveled..now where the hell AM I???

Forgot to put this in my lib
Saw Balladeer's verse very hip
Now I feel we are all complete
For I thought he was lost indeed

Tricky Vickie, birdies indeed!
your love left you without some seed?
doesn't he know of your great need?
he's been golfing through the night
with deer antlers all alight!

Sweet Balladeer I'm on my way
Can't wait for you another day
My wings are set on turbo boost
I'll be there soon with you to roost

I'm looking forward to the time
we're beak to beak in lover's rhyme
To stay with you in feathered nest
Would simply have to be the best

So open wide your wings of love
I'll see you soon my turtle dove
We'll be the sweetest lovebirds known
When straight into your heart I've flown

Titia, dear, you flatter me
To have me in your library
It makes me smile each time I see
Your name on a reply to me.

Lady In White, he left indeed
And I was hungry with no seed
But he's returned from golfer's land
With lots of birdie treats in hand.

Hugs to all of you,
~vicky
