My Own Ocean’s Echo Of Regret

there are things
I have learned
under current windless
I am leaf turned
chance to change
spots of skin
the middle can be
a good place to begin
not so afraid to live life
as I once was
put myself on pause
due to flaws
no, I’m not so
tame any more
my body and heart feels
my soul’s outpour
found a true vein of gold
in things I do not lack
funny always carried it
with me as I look back
standing here at oceans edge
unafraid to get feet wet
no longer a victim of
my own ocean’s echo of regret
I shall not hold my breath
this time as I run to the sea
as once again liquid life
quenches and floods me

Not only a wonderful write dear friend...but the picture ended it perfectly!  Applause here.  (gee, now I have a new picture to write to...but don't worry, nothing will replace my image of you in the other picture).

I could stand up and cheer after reading this. You sound like you have reached that place that I am still trying to get to. I love the line of the title. Wonderful writing. Peace.
