The Ultimate Ink

~*Marge Tindal*~

When you've spent the charm,
and all that's left
are your words upon the page
make certain that they say you lived
each thought that you engaged

In a hundred years, or more
someone will read your rhyme
A photograph of who you were
will develop in their mind

Coming into sharp focus
the images you've placed in your verse
No blurred edges of distraction
as through your thoughts they traverse

Let your dash through life be reflected
in the ink you leave behind
Long after you've penned your legacy
you'll still be a poet in somebody's mind

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

refreshing to know that some things live on after we are long gone isn't it?  and even if, by the time you die you don't think you've touched a soul, think about how many may be touched by the ink you've left behind.
simply beautiful.

I am so busy as you know but guess what I did?  I sent it to my son and said, "here, I want this looking first class on photopaper", and then........I am framing it and putting it up on the wall beside my computer.  Guess what, of all the things I ever read of yours, this is my FAVORITE, and I don't care how good you get again, (as you do it over and over and over) you can't take that highlight away from this one.  Hmmm...and another thing, it matches my living room ROTFLMBO!  Hugs
