Transitory Bliss

Barring all eccentric stances
I would be your friend.
Screening all peculiar dances
Till my very end

Our souls have met and stayed a day
A lingering kiss
Exchanged our hearts within that stay
Momentary bliss.

You have entered in my garden
Opened up the door
Gave desires without pardon
Could I ask for more?

You have my deepest kindest thoughts
Fantasies of style
You are the harbor and my port
Of my greatest wile

I thank you for this lingering kiss
This ever, transitory bliss

YOUR POETIC KISS IS BLISS ...
AND OHHOWILOVEWHENYOUWRITELIKETHIS!!!!!

There are kisses made of candy
There are kisses on backs of hands
There are kisses on cheeks
Even kisses on demand
There is kissing to be clever
Kisses blown into the wind
Kisses on envelope flaps
Kisses with red hot steamy intend
There are kisses from puppies
Kisses of hello and goodbye
Kisses on the forehead
Kisses that will make you sigh
Kissing babies is heaven
A kiss for Grandpa is sublime
A kiss from a secret admirer
Or a kiss from your valentine
Lips were made for kissing
There are kisses from lips of wax
Kisses that come with a price
Kissing booths make you pay a tax
I've been kissed by butterflies...
now understand ... Im not braggin...
Ive even been kissed by a handsome randy dragon
Yes...these lips were born to kiss
I can think of no better use for a mouth
So pucker up sweet Stinky...
cuz Im sending all my smooches(and winkies) south!!

SMOOCHES!!!

So wonderful, but sad that it must be transitory. Well done.

Hey Seymour!  Even the transitory ones are great aren't they? This is a great poem and I think all of us have experienced these feelings one time or another. I love the bliss idea.....looking for some of that myself.    Write on!!
