~*~ There Is Love ~*~

There is love of friends and family,
And animals we snuggle up to at night.
There is love of beautiful music,
Dancing with a loved one by candlelight.

There is love in seeing the moon and stars,
As they twinkle in the sky at night.
There is love in a small child’s eyes,
As they hold their new toy so tight.

There is love in simply holding hands,
And feeling the touch of someone’s love.
There is love in praying in silence,
To the Creator who listens above.

There is love as we watch the birth,
Of buds on flowers and trees unfold.
There is love in feeling the soft skin,
Of a tiny, newborn baby we hold.

There is love in the air we breathe,
For it is that which gives us life.
There is love in a seasoning love,
Between a husband and a wife.

There is love in feeling empathy,
For someone who is in pain.
There is love in learning a sport,
Falling down, and getting up again.

There is love in lending a helping hand,
It comes back to you or so I'm told.
There's love in reading aloud a story,
Watching eyes widen as plots unfold.

There is love in giving elders a gentle hand,
Guiding them in their golden years with care.
There is love in a drying desert bare,
When there is the smell of rain in the air.

There is love in a friend you don’t see,
And in the knowing that they still care.
There is love in discussing genealogy,
While all the family stories you share.

There is love looking into a mirror,
Seeing the only person who knows you well.
There is love, oh, so much love,
It would take forever for me to tell.

There is love, knowing what we get,
Is absolutely always in the giving.
So many words could I write,
As a guide to your better living.

There is love when I write these simple words,
That enlighten your soul, with my simple pen.
To show you things that will make you happy,
That you can use over and over again.

Well, Mysteria, there is love in my heart for this wonderful poem of expression. This is a wonderful description of the many many wonders of love from the heart. I thank you so much for sharing this as all people need to be reminded of the fact that there is love in all of these things you have written about.

You have a nice day and take my blessing with you for such a poem from the heart!

So vividly you have captured the beautiful image of love and all of the rewards that it lends ~ and returns.  It costs nothing to give, and yet it comes back to the giver a hundred fold, and the rewards are priceless and everlasting to each.  Very eloquently and beautifully spoken, Sharon...lovely and touching thoughts to begin my day with, my friend!
Hugs, smiles, and much love to you, dawn

Dawn and Maggie ~ Love is...having two very special long-time friends such as you! Thank you dear friends.

Doreen ~ I was going to use that song, but it was a bit too loud believe it or not!  You are so right Doreen, loving one another is why we were put here in the first place, thank you.

Sharon~ this was so nice. There is love in places and faces we've never even met and I am still amazed of this simple fact, especially when I read poetry such as this. Thank you for sharing your inspirations with me, I appreciate the love this shows.
