Flaming lamps light
The old-world
Streets

Midnight clouds
Ominously
Enveloping
The moon

Confining him

Under
Late-night
Curses

Stimulates the reader's imagination and leaves the way open to imagine ones own perspective into the mood!  Good poem!

I know a bit about late-night confining curses, though they are no doubt different from yours. This poem has a nice cadence.

Eric, thank you -- it's part of the purpose to inspire the imagination of others...

Midnitesun:  you've intrigued me -- I'd love to hear more about it...

This places me into an old New Orleans cemetary, with nothing but the moon to light the night.
Very visual with so few words.
