He is the only way to become new
the way to become whole
He is the verse and the Light
and he tends to our sufferings
for He too was tempted.
There is nothing He will not forgive
if we ask with a sincere heart.

He will heal a fragmented mind,
mend ripped seams of denial,
bury memories to merciful seas.
He applies a balm to hurting hearts
and with his spittal, he opens blinded eyes.

In every season he is the mourning dove
in our fate, he is the true star
Only He is the true rose, the Rose of Sharon
and the Lily of the Valley.
The trees in his garden are healing trees,
He was always there, always waiting in the wings
until I fell, then, at that moment
He carried me as an everlasting sailplane
to the fields of Jordan, the River of Galilee
and the bosom of His holy mountain
and there I called his name and began to
write with His ink.

He took a dry, parched desert
from years of loss, pain and wandering
and turned it into a blooming valley
where beauty raises it’s veil to the sun
and buds…began to open.

He can take a rose and return the scent
prick the thorns and prune her,
make her more real
more beautiful
in truth, love and being.
for He is my God, my Saviour
and the answer to the prayer I cried
“Hold me, Lord, hold me in everlasting arms
and surround me with a choir of angels
and let your Spirit minister to me.

One day?

He will wipe away every tear
cleanse every hurt
remove every sorrow
and there will be no more crying,
no heartache and no pain.

Until then?

I fill a chalice with my tears
offer them up in thanksgiving for being able to feel,
know that I am on a different road
and that I have new direction through Him.
And even in my sufferings, I praise Him for it is through
that praise that I find new joy.

In the pressence of his healing love I feel quite small yet renewed by him.
This is truely a great poem.

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.
