you read to me your poetry and I sit here on the carpet of hushed voices and rapt attention watching listening wishing dreaming thinking I want to be just like you your words so pretty how do you do that? and then you stop and smile at me right at me no one else I didn't know you could see me here in the back but you did and you smiled and I smiled back and as you continue to read I know someday I will write and my words will touch and I will smile and change someone else's life as you have changed mine today ~SEA~ [This message has been edited by SEA (edited 08-24-2001).] |

HI Hoot!!!!!  yes, she is special thank you, it's wonderful to see you "home" again! Ron~ it's coming from the little kid in me, I read her poetry and think, someday, I want to be her (when I grow up) but thank you so much for that. It's all I hope for |

Ah SEA, this is so very nice...I am so pleased that you and others enjoy my poetry... I think in a few days I might have some good news....so I'll be back to share it with you! Thank you for this! It's lovely, and reminds me of a few months ago, when I spent two days with several third-graders, reading to them some poetry, and the excitement that they shared with me with their attempts to write...it was a wonderful time! |

thanks everyone Sunshine, your poetry always touches me. I just love it, I love the style and I can almost hear you reading it, and it has made me remember the times on the "quiet carpet", so excited to hear the guest speaker/reader, and then to be recognized by the person, it touches....and kids don't forget that stuff. How fun that you read to 3rd graders! Maybe someday I will too I'm happy you liked this |
