Between the Tea and Scones

How do I begin to explain a moment
with a friend
who has whispered what he knows
of forever
and it is as if a leaf fell
to touch me on the shoulder

Little things caress us daily
like a massage from time
they play a memory
float across our vibration
and if we listen between the tea and scones
the barefoot sand touches our toes
and we see a piece of truth

Too fast this path distracts
and even as I touch him with my warm
I cannot lace up the thought
and place it just so
on the fragile now
so the minute is lost
and forget is what happens to the evidence

Oh how very true are these words Martie, so much wisdom in these words, and a slight detection of sadness.  I really enjoyed this and can not pick out lines as again they all flow together and can not be picked at.  Wonderful once again Martie.

Martie~
Ohhhhhhh, this is just heavenly~

'How do I begin to explain a moment
with a friend
who has whispered what he knows
of forever
and it is as if a leaf fell
to touch me on the shoulder'

And .... I have a friend just like this,
who drops the loveliest leaves of thought
across my heart~

Thank you for this, sweet friend.
*Hugs*

Between the 'tea and scones' - there surely is a fragile now.. and perhaps forever... This is wonderful, Martie...
