Have A Tiny Rose Tattoo

I have this tiny rose tattoo;
it is only an inch or so in size.
So many years of deliberation
the courage finally materialized.

I am will probably be the only person,
who will ever know that it is there,
unless, of course, I want someone,
to see, and then of course I’ll share.

One tiny rose and nothing more,
I chose to symbolize,
a not so easy, heart breaking life,
so please, don’t criticize.

The branch is my long lifeline,
with the thorns representing what’s past.
The little bud is for what's yet to come,
a life of peace and joy, at last.

The tiny rose is colored,
a deep red to show my passion.
The petals soft and gently bloomed,
represent love, a celebration.

When I look at it I feel all bubbly,
as I have a secret that I hide,
reminding of the past and present,
all the feelings I harbour inside.

Yes, I have a tiny rose tattoo,
just an inch or so in size,
only one tiny rose, that’s all it is,
and my life it’s meant to symbolize.

When I look at it I feel all bubbly,
as I have a secret that I hide,

Hey you---biker lady disguised as sweet poet, eh? lol...the above line reminded me of my favorite pair of heels...they are hand-made from Vietnam, and in the sole of the shoe, hidden by the foot when worn, is a garden inlaid in mother of pearl into the handcarved teak heel. They are my "secret garden" shoes and wearing them makes me feel...well...MYSTERIOUS...   and now you've gone and made me want a tatto again--
but the family swears if I get one they'll all get one, and I don't want my kids marking up the skin I spent years of my life rubbing baby lotion on...sigh...methinks I am the granny disguised as the bad ass biker chick!
And my I do ramble on, don't I? See what you started?

Sharon...this was beautiful. I believe we all wear our own hidden tatoo's, whether they be embedded upon us in ink, or other ways.  Hmmmm...this gets my wittle brain ticking...wonder if I should get a tatoo for myself while I'm in Canada????????? ~*~grins~*~
Hugs and smiles to you....~*~dawn~*~
