What then, of this love I feel so profound?
Do I dare to speak of it openly?
Would you echo my heart in sweet resound?
Or will my love be denied painfully?

This need to speak of my heart’s desire
Causes me to pause with hesitation
Fearing you will feel my passionate fire
Is  but a flame of infatuation

Oh, my sweet love, I hope you not dismiss
This ever burning need inside my heart
This consuming ache to share but one kiss
Allowing  me just  one chance to impart

Let me share with you, words I long to say…..
Let me find courage, to speak them one day…..

Wonderful SEA!  I relate to your words.  You've really mastered the sonnet...well expressed and crafted!   You should be very proud, indeed.  And, I'm sure that your husband is so very proud of your talent as well~

Take care,

thank you, each of you, so much. I really am enjoying the sonnets   Interloper taught me how.   He's really really good at these! My husband thinks my poetry is growing, and that is the most he's ever said about it! LOL  again, thank you

SEA,
I love sonnets and yours was very touching. nothing is to be gained in secrecy, free your heart and give it voice.
