The Poet’s Poet

you are the poet’s poet
I read you with enthrall
with words you say
I feel them in recall
imagination knows no bounds
the heart you have is pure
grained in the sands of time
your lines shall endure
some things fall away
classic never loses it’s style
a hundred years from now
you will be read with a smile

I know exactly what you're talking about..(and oooh...pick ME!!!   )

But yes, there are those I study for structure, and then there are those I study for emotion...and there are those that I just bathe in... like YOU--smiles, Helen.

Just a lovely poem if it is to someone you know, and this poet's poet is Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

If you have but one true friend when you die you were truly blessed

Helen, a wonderful tribute to your poet

Actually, this is how I feel (and I'm sure how many feel) when we read your poems~

You should enter this in a poetry contest

Take care,
Melissa~

whoever this is. . . I'm sure that all they might be able to say after such a wonderful tribute is, "Thank you. . . " and then perhaps offer a tribute to you in return. . .

wonderfully done helen, and I'm with Melissa, it's time for you to try the next level. . .

Isnt it odd for a poets poet to write a poem about a poets poet? We all love your writings, dear. *huggles*
