As A Shadow Of Fact
~*Marge Tindal*~

Shadows hide in darkness of night
Suppressed in fear of facing the light
Should the pen of discovery shine
Shadows hide not in verse or rhyme

Shadows shattering in decline
Split of seconds within short time
Shaded in gray-mixed personalities
Shadows on the wall of thee

Shine of light sends shadows
Sliding to the floor
Surest sign that one can see
Shadows are no more

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Shadows are the by product of light. There could be no MoonShadow without Sunshine. Nice work... thought provoking as well as smile provoking.

Of all of the reasons for me to truly take this to my heart, you know each and every one!  This is excellent, and in this, your art of poetry shows well...

I would take a few more of these, please...

Marge, what can I add to what has already been said? Nothing but I liked it very much.
And sometimes it's nice to chase away the shadows.

Very nice one here, sometimes we have to leave the shadows and step into the light and at other times it is wise to mingle in the shade and get to know all of ones self.
Loved it!

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

Very subtle and clever and still profound...
I like this one very much, me marge!!! Like great architecture...the construct is there without overwhelming...and the seeming simplicity underlined the "shadow" theme.
I keep this one, for study.   Love you back.

Marge,
This is way cool! My shadow likes to follow me most of the time it seems, of course haven't seen it much in this heat...it just seems to melt away! Oh well...Love the imagery!

Through windows of shadow time
Left to dwell within your rhyme
I lift my this heart to the night
Summoned by the keeper of light

Funny, I could have sworn I saw YOUR shadow last night through my window.  Were you protecting me again????

Hi Marge,

I love the play on words in the title only to be more delighted by the way you refract the essence of shadows into a temperament and mood. The second stanza for me really stood out!!! Lovely work!!
