The treasured things we've seen and done,
Our time together had just begun.
But it was just another story in a dream.
Lost from your heart to mine, or somewhere in between.

We had a special song, that no one else could hear.
But now it plays inside my head, and brings with it a tear.
Left sitting outside in the cold,
With whispered promises left untold.

Once again I'm all alone.
No one left to call my own.
Time stands still as I struggle along,
Just me, my heart, and a lonely song.

Eloise,
This is very sad. I do hope that your call for happiness comes good very soon.
Cheers

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Beautifully written and full of sorrow.

Thank you all so much for reading and commenting.  I appreciate each and every one of them.     At one time or another we probably have all been there.

Thank you vandana.  Glad you enjoyed it.

Blaec, thank you and you're right there are always better days ahead.  We just need to look and find them!
