I turn the dial inside my heart
And tune in with my head
Sometimes, what I come up with
Is White Noise. Foreign, unknown
But it still speaks, as a part of me.

Other times I pick up on stimulus.
Channels of something I relate to.
Or things that make me afraid, I fight
The fear with sarcasm. That's my way.
Like a belligerent DJ, I spew. Censored.

There are waves of love, tossed out
Daily. But love is a many splendored
Thing. Some waves I choose to surf
All by myself. Without letting others
Tune in and broadcast it wide, imposing.

Then there are the reveries, Cycling
forward again. A pulse that made
It's way back from the classic dead.
Just to touch me, to raise the hair
In memory. Making me wish for talent.

Some channels, hit a nerve, creating
A mega hertz of anger. And if I tune in
Really strong. I can find the station.
I can get it's number. And Voice it.
Without having to turn up the volume.

But there are the days. That lovely voice,
Pure and lucid. The operatic, trilling
Of undaunted clarity, sings out. Straight
From The Heart. I build antennas to hang on.
I will stand out in the rain storm of life.

As a lover of the written waves, I hope to
Inspire all that tune in. Never trying
To insult, intelligence of other beings.
I forget sometimes that they may not know
How to change the channel. Tune me out.

For what I write is on many planes and levels.
I can't stay devoted forever to one station.
I'm not a die hard fan of any one thing. I
Prefer to be on the air, whether beneath
or below or right dead center, trying to convey.

Dear Regina, I hear you loud and clear, you love the written word, offering to share many of them yet keeping some to yourself, thanks for sharing all the ones you do, we all grow from them and find you closer as a friend.

Great write.

Rick.

what a very very cool poem...
a clever and creative write,
this is fresh and innovative writing
I loved the whole unique premise behind this...
and the way you carried it out from conception to completion.

I quite tuned in with this.......
Indeed, such a wonderful write and use of a clever metaphor......

We hear you......and hope all our frequencies would always be heard.......

Thank you.....
