Hello family, Hello poets
I'm still gone and you should know it
I've been basking in the sunshine
And I'm having fun and sleeping
With the moonshine

Helped my mom do crossword puzzles
Watched reruns of Barney Rubble
Went to Dad's house Fourth of July
Then escaped from Maine before the snow flies

Time to visit friends from Passions
Packed the car in Gypsy fashion
Said farewell to Cape Cod's sand dunes
Hit the road and listened to some fine tunes

Spent some time with Lizzy Santos
Kindly lady and a grand host
Shared with me her home in Pottstown
Even brought me to a local hoedown

Took a trip to Jersey's seashore
Met Denise and caused an uproar
Went to Caesar's dined and played slots
Atlantic City's now got all our ten spots

Then on to the land of magic
Thought I might just learn a new trick
I've been sunning in the back yard
Playing Chess and Scrabble with our best bard

Wait a minute - where'd the sun go?
Skies are gray now and the winds blow
Things here sure are never boring
I was having a grand time but now it's pouring

Send umbrellas I sure need one
Mops and towels – This is not fun
Being dry now would be better
Please my dear ones don't ignore this letter

Ignore? IGNORE? This is poetry in motion, too bad there's an ocean causing plenty of despair, but our Nan, we surely care, so grab a towel and dry off, dear...for we are all so very near!

I need a kerplunker to cover my head
From the sprinkering driblets kamoshing my bed
For my tent had a squip on the tark of the top
And the frippiling drippiling klop doesn’t stop

When the spritzen is over and no more kablop
I’ll gadeedle the squib on the tark of the top
With a swazzling freep and a fine gizzled thread
I’ll have no frippiling driblets kamoshing my bed

Glad to hear your enjoying your trip. PLease stop on your return trip whenever that is. WE'll do some fun things. Don't get too wet now and sew up that squib in the tark
Liz

Thank you my poet friends...

Cpat - I appreciate your dropping by - and the deluge seems to have subsided - Time to de-sog all my stuff, now...

Lady - Thankya - funny thing was - my towels were inside - in the dryer... would you believe?

Liz - LOL - Could you say that fast five times?  You're too funny - I hope you're having a grand August... and I'll let you know when I'll be cruising back through

Marge - I really appreciate the sunbrella (that's what Cassandra calls it)... Sure did need it.. and btw - my wizardly friend says to tell you that he's just fine... nice and dry and warm in his 'cave'- so he really doesn't need the umbrella, but thanks anyway...
