where the sky and horizon meet

Letting Go

Her rounded face
showed no trace
of her sorrow

Though he is dead
it is said
that he lives on

But she still weeps
before sleep
for his absence

Her one last cry
of goodbye
and she joins him

Cerenity ~ Thank you!
Hey, I've been to Escondido, California before!    neato

G ~ I'm glad to hear that    It's one of the first poems I ever wrote and I just felt like posting it since I was too "blue" at the time to come up with anything new!

Hugs to both of you!

Marge~ Thank you Marge     And I've noticed you're as fond of the squiggly (tilde, whatever!) character as I am!
*hugs back*

Sandra~ Yes, it is too bad they are a part of living...but I guess we wouldn't appreciate our happy times as much if we didn't have sad ones to cntrast!  Thank you for the read and your comments
*hugs*
