SHE SAID

She said with words believable
what one was want to hear
that anything was possible
as long as I was near.

She said it was our destiny
to’ve come together thus
not planned was it by her or me
but serendipitous.

She asked if I might be her friend
I answered that I would
she had a broken heart to mend
and sure we were we could.

She ached to find a remedy
to soothe her stress and toil
with words in rhyme and melody
she wrote to me her foil.

She wrote of all her troubled days
she penned about her bane
we hoped that with some change of ways
she might find love again.

She called when I was there to talk
we heard each other’s pain
then hoped in hand one day to walk
in sunshine, fog or rain.

She said we’re friends forever now
and then threw me a kiss
but I mistook intent somehow
for it has come to this.

She’s slipped into a silent mode
her words I can not find
she’s quit her journey down this road
I fear she’s changed her mind.

Perhaps she’s found another way
or merely disappeared
and yet there’s much I’d like to say
if she again appeared.

Sometimes people come into our lives for one purpose only and leave just as quickly as that is done...rather like a comet lighting up a dark night. I have a friend like this too. I miss him, but would do it all over again.

"some people come into our lives, leaving footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same..."  --flavia

wonderfully written KRAW..i hate to "lose" people myself..i'd spend my lifetime trying to regain them, only, i've learned that deep persuing as such is mostly detrimental..

these people we lose..they will come back, when it is time..if thats the higher plan for our lives..     everything happens for a reason my friend..

i'm hoping your "lost" friend comes back around..but if not, know that she has likely been touched by you in a most unique way   ...

hugs, g

You placed a certain twist on some of your words, it made me slow down to read them, but allowed me to join the thought process behind them...

well done, and I hope she returns soon...if nothing else, but to say hello...

Thank you all for stopping by . . .
SEA,
Not likely I think, but you never know.
Cpat,
Thanks for the compliment.  This one was hard to "control", it had many places it wanted to go.
K,
Perhaps you are right.  Seems unfair, but who said there were rules?
dg,
Thanks for the "wonderfully written".
And you give wise council me thinks.
"Better to savor the flight, than to chase the butterfly."
And hugs to you, my friend.
Lady in White,
Thanks for the compliment.  Glad you enjoyed.
