where the sky and horizon meet

The Deer

Our eyes meet,
yours wide and wild,
fear shining through,
with a little dab of curiousity.
Elegantly and slow,
you lower your head,
eyes never leaving mine,
as you munch on lucious greenery.
Then suddenly, your head shoots up
and you give a one - two flick of the tail
and you're gone.
The only evidence of your presence,
the memory in my mind
of your eyes on mine,
gazing straight into my heart.

vivid, captivating, mesmerizing just as the deer to you  and by you, until it flipped its tail

the imagery in this is wonderful...
and you described the moment so that we were there,
a gift of nature like this is rare.
well done poetess SK

Feels like Im dancin with truth and wisdom
Precious rhythm you are my guide
These days are sacred, my heart is humble
Oh warrior show me thy light

Wow...I knew a guy like this---

Beautiful, fleeting image he was too...
(His head is gonna look real nice over the mantle...grin... JUST KIDDING)

This is gorgeous me smitten kitten...so realistic it left a vision of a white tuft tail and shaking branches.

Serenity ~ hehe, I would much prefer seeing their animated behind leaping off into the forest than their inanimate head nailed to a wall!
Thanks for enjoying the moment with me!

yes..you describe it well... I love to happen on them..and watch as they decide what to do..run or walk... and when they run...they do run....

thanks for taking back to the times I too have sighted and watched...

Sunshine ~ Success!    thank you!

Cpat Hair ~ I hate when they're on the road and have that moment of indecision!
And you're right, they do run!
Thanks for the comments and read
