To be forgiving, releasing the chained
To harbor the hatred for the rest of your days
Saying your sorry, with heart, with meaning
Saying "Im sorry, YOU misunderstood Me.
To love unconditionally, in faith and trust
To say that I Love you, always ending with "But"
To give, when feeling, so empty handed
Taking everthing around you, simply for granted
Watching others fly above you, with elation
To clip the wings of others, dreams, aspirations
To offer compassion, a little encouragement
To stand back and say hatefully,"Just get over it!"
Admitting you're wrong, trying to improve
Being a self-righteous, arrogant fool
To simply be happy in being yourself
Putting on faces to suit someone else
Being honest and sincere, with priceless virtue
To always spare everyone, the absolute truth
To respect an opinion, regardless of facts
Persecuting all attempts, being on the attack
To work hard, even, when hanging by a thread
To step all over others, just to get ahead
To smile when your hurting, trying to heal
To make everyone as miserable, as you seem to feel
To stand up and stand out, making a difference
Being invisible, never scratching the surface

Being invisible, never scratching the surface
===========================

that last line's impact was perfect poetry..
and I loved the yen and yang of this...
much to ponder here,
this is the kind of look within we need to all take and see which lines we cross over.
very cool writing here.
well done poetess Regina

We're all feeding our lonely...like it might go away...
Like the doors to Heaven would swing open...
If we could just find the right words to say

JanetMarie: Thank you dear lady. The yen and yang is right, and straddling the fence means you're really talented. For I fall off either one way or the other, and sometimes it feels as if the easy side has a magnet, which the magnet in my face cannot resist.

Catalinamoon: Thanks so much for reading! Your posts mean heaps!

Cpat: Thank you for stopping in on this one!

Dear Regina, sounds like you fight with the rights and wrongs here, with your inner self and your outward dutys, how tired you must get if this is one of your normal days, I found it very well expressed, enjoyed.
