*Song may take a moment to load*

~My Warrior~

Oh spirit of the ancients ... touch me with your patience ...
Please grant my whispered plea.
I hear the song my warrior sings ... heal my torn and tattered wings ...
Set this imprisoned heart free.

Oh my warrior shine down your light ... guide me in these endless nights ...
Walk with me beyond infinity.
Bathe me in your gentle rain ... healing waters will wash away this pain ...
Lay with me on your beaches of destiny.

Carry me on your wisdom's wind ... embraced within your heart's intend ...
Oh my warrior come to me.
Love transcending time and space ... etched upon my soul in lingering trace ...
Engraved in forever's eternity.

This moment is sacred and rare ... release my soul chained in despair ...
Oh my warrior you hold the key.
This rite of passage I must take ... promises spoken I must not forsake ...
For this love lives on inside of me.

Tears of sorrow I'll no longer cry ... time to rise upon these wings and fly ...
An endless flight of reverie.
In silent searching I climb the spirit trail ... wings of promise, no longer frail ...
To where my warrior waits for me.
Oh my warrior waits there for me.

Janet Marie

for DeVante' , the wind beneath my wings, always.

Dedicated to Mark(Maga), thank you for sharing this music and vision with me.
You know what it's connection and your friendship has come to mean.
Very Special Thanks to Marge, Sunshine, and Logan,
you will already know the reasons...because you always...just know.

My Warrior
by "Waleha"

Feels like Im dancing with truth and wisdom
Precious rhythm you are my guide
These days are sacred ... my heart is humble
Oh my warrior ... show me the shining light

Oh can you hear me ... I can hear you
Far beyond the tracks of time
Oh can you feel me ... I can feel you
Feel the power inside this heart of mine

DeVante knew...as do so many others know, what it takes to compose from the heart when it is so very full...

he is smiling,

as are the rest of Passions...

well done, Little One....

Oh Janet Marie ~ what a testament to your warrior, I am sure he is so pleased.  For I "know" as well he smiles!

This was my favorite but I will treasure this and have printed and will frame this one:

Carry me on your wisdom's wind ... embraced within your heart's intend ...
Oh my warrior come to me.
Love transcending time and space ... etched upon my soul in lingering trace ...
Engraved in forever's eternity.

Spiritually empowering and beautiful this was.

To see real beauty ~ look with your heart

I feel privileged to on some level understand
the depths of these words, their power and their hope is an inspiration. A wise woman once said, "butterflies were meant to be free." I know this is a private dance so I will leave you to the moment.

"Here I am in prison, here I am with a ball and chain There is whiskey in the jar-o" Traditional irish song.

Wow... is all I can say. That was my favorite part, but the whole poem was just amazing. I just painted a pair of my jeans with the basic theme of becoming strong and free and flying away. I haven't finished yet though. This poem is definitely offering some inspiration. Thank you.

Prismatic in hope's light you spread in full color. I'm so glad you shared. Thank you.

"I hear the song my warrior sings ... heal my torn and tatteredwings ...
Set this imprisoned heart free."

"Bathe me in your gentle rain ... healing waters will wash away this pain ...
Lay with me on your beaches of destiny."

"Tears of sorrow I'll no longer cry ... time to rise upon these wings and fly ...
An endless flight of reverie."

This is so powerfully written JM!  The mood you've captured in this piece simply reached out and grabbed me with the wonderful rhyme scheme you've chosen in this poem ... lovely!  You write with such strong, emotive sense, and with such beautiful description and conviction ... once can't help but be pulled into the depth of your thoughts. Hugs dear gator-gal ... you touched my heart this morn, thank you.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Having never known of DeVante

all I can say is I  can feel the warmth  and love when you write of him...

Tears of sorrow I'll no longer cry ... time to rise upon these wings and fly ...
An endless flight of reverie.
In silent searching I climb the spirit trail ... wings of promise, no longer frail ...

I loved those  lines..

JANET MARIE

Butterfly wings are swept by the wind
We can hardly imagine the strength from within
Yet they travel the distance of migrating bird
But never a song from the butterfly heard

The beauty of wing is the beauty of soul
A essence of grace that encapsuled the whole
The voice of the butterfly, silent and calm
Is written in verses in breeze's sweet balm

Oh, how can I know this butterfly's heart?
By the way that she's spreading her wings to depart
The beauty of wing is the spirit's delight
She is poised now to soar, for the moment is right

Her verses are scrolled on a powdery wing
How splendid the words that the butterflies sing

Flutter in the wind, sweet one!
Liz

Not only do I know the poet, the story, the heart, and the wonderful talent behind all of this, but HEY.......I ALSO KNOW THE SONG. LOL  Way cool my friend of friends.  This is by far one of your best if not the best.

The cadence, the imagery, the poetic beauty of construction, and yes, the fact that you mixed some rhyme with some free verse and spilled it into a story of the heart.  Beautifully written and so very very awesome and thank you much for the dedication.

Thank you wont touch the way the replies to this one have touched me...you guys are the wind beneath my wings as well...
This is a special write for me as it is part of a long overdue healing process and also the freeing of my muse..hopefully bringing an end to so many bouts of block.
Most of all getting me back to keeping my butterfly promises to celebrate..not mourn this amazing man.
The fact that I can share him with you and that you see his light in my words helps me both heal and keep those promises.
Like I said...thank you wont begin to touch it..
but I do thank you all so very much.

Feels like Im dancin with truth and wisdom
Precious rhythm you are my guide
These days are sacred, my heart is humble
Oh warrior show me thy light
