Pelican Morn

it is a
pelican morn
the waves of life
are safe and warm
our dreams soar
high in flight
a carry over
from the night
and if by another
our thoughts are read
diving into their sea
our hunger fed
into a heart
plunge so deep
secret place
where meeting spirits leap
and as a pelican
with it’s bill
I’ll dive and dive
till I’ve had my fill

I see a nice book in these H & B---would be lovely...already is, but what a legacy to leave to your kids too. My total admiration!

Hey Lady...caught me a fish the other day and he talked and talked all about you standing there in the waves under the pelican-do, and he said...ah, but you don't want to hear about that, you want to know what I think about this poem...this GREAT piece here. Well, I enjoyed it all three reads! Think I'll catch it again on the tide...

don't git yer feet wet, me friend...
