I Will Still Love You

As long as the stars sprinkle crystals of light
Down through the spaces and blackness of night
As long as the moon wears a halo of white
I will be holding you tight

If silvery streaks from a bright falling star
Continue to brandish my dreams from afar
To show all the world how amazing you are
I will be blessed by a star

As long as the starlight can dance on a wave
And the palm trees in late evening sea breezes sway
Making the shimmering moon shadows play
I will still love you this way

I’ll never stop holding your heart in my trust
As sure as the universe beckons our lust
As long as the stars bath our spirits in dust
We will go on as we must

If all of the night sky would somehow display
Not one single star in the vast Milkey Way
I'd still wait for night and the closing of day
And I would still love you this way

Elizabeth Santos

You write with such passion ... God bless you for all the "pick me ups" that you post just when it seems i need them most

This is how love should be - a promise of forever - and you've written of it beautifully in this graceful poem.

Ah, Liz, this is wonderful, so full of beautiful imagery and sincere devotion    I love the imaginative and sentimental side of you   Into my library this goes~
