Driftin' 'round the country,
With my saddle on my shoulder-
A bedroll, and one extra suit of clothes...
The only thing that's certain-
Is the fact I'm gettin' older,
Where I'll wind up, the good Lord only knows.

They called it youthful wildness-
When I set out on the circuit,
They all said I'd outgrow it in awhile.
But that was twenty years ago,
And any way you work it-
Growin' up don't seem to fit my style.

My friends all say I'm crazy-
(And maybe they're not lyin')
For tryin' hard to catch a fallin' star.
But when your dreams are dyin'-
You have to keep on tryin'
For givin' up won't take you very far.

I like to watch the sunsets-
Across wide open spaces...
And passin' lots of City Limit signs...
The thing that makes me happy-
Is seein' stranger's faces-
And knowin' soon I'll leave them all behind.

This could be a country song sang over an open fire...

" I walked beside the evening sea And dreamed a dream that could not be" George William Curtis"

Slick...Slick - slippin' and sliding from face to face makes for a big wagon-full of
watering holes and feed bags. Live it out to the end, my man...friends yer yet to meet have their hands out to ya already.

Neat, thoughtful, honesty here...yep, yep.
