Irish Eyes

As crimson streaks the sky and locks so fair,
the Ocean whispers songs by Erin’s Shores.
I dream of you each night in passions dare,
to kiss those lovely lips so sweet and more.
What stars see you on evening sparkled strolls?
I watch you with my heart this song of night;
Aurora paints those eyes an em’rald glow,
I’ll sing of them and you to souls delight.
I know your life is kept with him in trust;
And I was just the passion for your night.
But sometime since that touch of lovers rush;
An ember grows within to burn so bright.
  I’ll wait to hope you read these Lovers lines,
  Since I have lost my heart to Irish Eyes.

Ahh p-man...your Celtic muse does you proud once again...as does your gifted pen of sonnet and cadence...
you just do these so very well...
the bittersweet angst...the longing..
the inner conflict...the imagery ...
and the lovely poetic phrasing...
let me bring out thy pedestals poet sir
someday Im gonna let you teach me how to do these...amongst other things LOL
POETICALLY speaking OF COURSE

I know no one is to blame
In time youll feel strength when you call my name
I know Ill never hold you again
And I know Ill never be the same

Parker, just imagine the whole poem is copied here as my fav part
There is nothing sweeter than a love sonnet. And you write them so well. I love this, into my library it goes.
